The Pool are excited to announce that Paris based, Cuban born DJ, record collector, and selector Cami Layé Okún will be joining the Pool family.
An artist who is constantly searching for the stories that can be found within music, Cami Layé Okún is a passionate digger of sounds from all around the world, boasting a vinyl collection which includes Cuban disco, forward-thinking Latin electronic, Afro-Caribbean rarities, Tropical Amazonian funky grooves and much more. These adventurous – and often rare – selections are the reason why Cami is becoming one of the most sought-after selectors around.
Musically adept and with an innate intuition for making the dancefloor move, Cami always sets the tone to perfection – whether she’s controlling a peak-time headline club situation, taking the crowd on a journey via a special extended set, or delivering one of her festival performances – which never fail to stand out amongst even the largest of line ups.
Looking ahead, Cami has announced exciting plans to expand the ‘INSOLAR’ concept into a record label, as well as continuing to bring her sound to some of the most revered venues and festivals around, such as Lost Village Festival UK, Wakana Reunion ES, Trevarefest NO, Best Kept Secret NL, North Sea Jazz NL, Paradise City BE , Transmusicales, FR and many more.
